Netizens react to the K-pop artists who made the TOP 50 Worldwide Tour Sales Ranking for the first half of 2023

The year 2023 has been phenomenal for K-pop artists as they have solidified their position on the global music stage.

With COVID restrictions completely lifted, K-pop artists can travel worldwide to meet their fans in person and treat them to an unforgettable performance. When it comes to the global music industry, K-pop artists have become an unstoppable force. Their music transcends borders, language barriers, and cultural differences, captivating listeners from all corners of the world.

The first half of 2023 has already passed, and dozens of artists have already gained substantial earnings from their tours. 

According to the Pollstar Mid-Year Top 100 Worldwide Tours 2023, global stars such as Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, Harry Styles, Elton John, Ed Sheeran, and more are among the top artists to make the most earning this year.

In this list, four K-pop artists were able to place their names on the Top 50 list. These artists include SUGA, Seventeen, TXT, and BLACKPINK.

SUGA has set out on his first solo world tour earning 24th place of the top earning tours this year with average tickets costing 218.31 USD, with an average gross earning of 2.96 million USD. Next was Seventeen at 30th place, with average tickets selling at 89.33 USD and earning an average gross per concert of 3.54 million USD. TXT came in at 34th place with average tickets being sold at 118.31 USD, with an average gross per concert of 1.39 mullion USD. Finally, BLACKPINK landed in 39th place, with average ticket prices selling at 165.81 USD and an average gross per concert of 7.12 million USD. The poll was calculated through worldwide shows from November 17, 2022, to May 17, 2023. What stands out is BLACKPINK ranked 3rd overall with an average concert grossing 7.12 million USD, just behind The Weeknd (8.8 million USD per concert) and Taylor Swift (13.6 million USD per concert).

Korean netizens were impressed with the ranking and commented, "BTS is earning a lot of money with solo tours," "SUGA's number is before his Asia leg of his world tour," "SUGA is really unbeatable when it comes to K-pop if they didn't add up his Asia tour," "TXT is amazing for being on the list too," "SUGA achieving that result alone is just so crazy," "I want to see TXT's concert," "It would've been interesting where BTS would've ranked if they did a full world tour as a group," "BTS is really dope," and "Taylor is so crazy. She didn't even start the overseas portion of her global tour yet."
