Song Joong Ki shared his feelings about entering the 76th Cannes International Film Festival following the news of his marriage and becoming a father.

On May 23, Song Joong Ki took the time to sit down for an interview at the Hôtel Barrière Le Gray d'Albion Cannes and talked about the film 'Hopeless' being featured at the 76th Cannes International Film Festival.

On this day, Song Joong Ki shared, "A lot of good things are going to happen this year. I'm really excited about Cannes but right now I'm focused on the baby being born. I have to finish the Cannes (schedule) fast and return to my wife." He added, "I'm really happy about Cannes and I am really thankful. I'm maintaining a positive mindset and believing I should live with gratitude. I've been privileged with some extraordinary news in my life recently, and now, here I am in Cannes. It feels like a wave of wonderful things is washing over me all at once, and I'm consciously trying to stay grounded, embracing the excitement without letting it overwhelm me."

Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki announced his marriage to British actress Katy Louise Saunders and her pregnancy in January of this year. 

In the movie 'Hopeless,' Song Joong Ki takes on the character of Chi Geon, a mid-ranking figure within an organization. Chi Geon forms an empathetic bond with Yeon Gyu, who shares similarities with him.
