On April 13, Team 23:00 member Karam of JTBC's 'Peak Time' took to his personal Instagram to relay his thoughts and feelings regarding recent events.

Previously, controversy arose after an anonymous netizen posted past photos of Karam's private life, including photos of him "partying at clubs", "visiting adult entertainment establishments", "smoking" including in front of fans, etc. On the April 13 broadcast of JTBC's 'Peak Time', Karam and his fellow Team 23:00 members personally apologized to their fellow contestants for causing various controversies, and announced their departure from the show. 

Now, Karam has also dedicated a letter to his fans via his Instagram, apologizing for the misunderstandings and promising to return soon. The former member of the boy group D.G.N.A wrote:

"Hello, I'm Karam.

First of all, thank you for your patience in waiting so long to hear from me. I apologize for causing concern.

Aside from the facts of the controversy, I realize that I've caused a lot of frustration to the many people involved in the program, so I've been in discussion with the other members for some time about how to best take responsibility for this. 

After a deep deliberation, I have decided to step down from 'Peak Time'.

All of these controversial materials were recorded at different times, in different places with different people present, and I'm sorry for causing misunderstanding. I feel frustrated and hurt, but our group members have always stood by me and believed in me, and others who have continued to support and encourage us, everyone gave me a lot of strength and consolation.

Thank you again for you who have continued to support and encourage us.

I will cherish you all in my heart for the rest of my life and will repay your trust and support and will return in the future showing a better me. 

I have come to many realizations and learned so many things from this incident. Once again, I am sorry, and thank you.
