From Worst Cook in BTS to Skilled Cook: Fans Discuss BTS V's (Kim Taehyung's) Impressive Growth on 'Jinny's Kitchen'

The 10-episode unscripted variety show "Jinny's Kitchen" recently concluded, featuring the journey of five Korean stars running a snack bar in Bacalar, Mexico, including Lee Seo Jin, Jung Yu Mi, Park Seo Joon, Choi Woo Shik, and BTS's V (Kim Taehyung).

Taehyung's growth as a cook during "Jinny's Kitchen" not only demonstrated his commitment to self-improvement but also showcased his ability to learn and adapt in new situations.

Before participating in the show, Taehyung was known as the worst cook in BTS and was often relegated to non-cooking duties like plating and washing dishes, as seen in their variety series like "Run BTS." There, he gained a reputation for his funny, creative plating ideas.

However, Taehyung decided to take on the challenge of improving his cooking abilities and participated in the variety series "Jinny's Kitchen" where the cast learned various Korean dishes to introduce to Mexican customers.

It was revealed on the show that prior to the cast's trip to Mexico, Taehyung took cooking and Spanish lessons to prepare.

Throughout the show, Taehyung showed determination and a willingness to learn, seeking advice from his teammates and working diligently.

He took on more responsibility and learned a variety of new recipes, and successfully cooked entire dishes by himself, including chicken, ramen, and hotdog meals.

Taehyung gradually became more confident in the kitchen and developed a better understanding of cooking techniques and learned to prepare dishes at a faster speed.

His commitment and hard work paid off, as he became a competent cook, earning praise from his more experienced co-workers.

Taehyung's skills in the kitchen had grown to the point where, on the final episode of "Jinny's Kitchen", he was trusted to work in the kitchen all by himself, preparing multiple menus that customers had ordered.

Aware of his own improvement, Taehyung expressed confidence in his abilities, acknowledging that fans would be proud of his growth after seeing him handle the cooking all by himself.

In a trending post on the Qoo, fans discussed how Taehyung grew in confidence from being a "cooking failure" to becoming a "cooking king." Some of the comments included:

"From Deco Kim to Cooking King. My TaeTae, you're doing a good job."
"It was a long journey from squirrel soy sauce to seasoned chicken, but he ended up growing up."
"It's like Kim Taehyung's growth drama. It's kind of touching."
"He used to be in charge of decorating and washing dishes, but now he can cook... he's better than me hahaha... He knows to cook chicken and hot dogs."
"He should go on a trip with the BTS members again. And show off his skills there."
"Wow, I cried tears of emotion as I watched you grow in each passing episode. Good job, Kim intern."
"V was working hard & trying to learn. I miss Kim Intern already."
"It's commendable, our Taehyung. You worked hard, you did a good job."
