It's no secret that Coldplay members and Jin have a strong bond. Chris and Jin wrote and composed 'The Astronaut' together last year and even managed to perform it on the same stage. Chris Martin also praised the lyrics Jin wrote for 'The Astronaut' and highly praised the artist's raw vocals during the recording of the song.

At the beginning of February, Coldplay even performed the English cover of 'The Astronaut' on Saturday Night Live. The group paid tribute to Jin, who enlisted in mid-December last year, by wearing patches with 'Wotteo," a character created by the artist.

While Jin is in the military, fans can still enjoy the new content by their favorite artist. Recently, the behind-the-stage video of Jin preparing for his performance at the Coldplay concert was uploaded to Bangtan TV. It also included videos of Jin practicing in his room or at the soundcheck. He sounded so powerful and beautiful singing 'The Astronaut' live! By the way, the sound at the concert was 100% live. Jin was singing the entire song without a backtrack.

The video also included the moment of Phil Harvey, who is the creative director of Coldplay, being absolutely in awe of Jin's vocals! Harvey is known as basically the 5th member of the band and used to be a friend of Chris during their school days. 

He is a well-respected professional in the industry and has been working in it for many years. After hearing Jin's live singing at the soundcheck, Harvey had a very excited and satisfied look, telling him that it "sounded so good!' and was "fantastic!"

Coldplay is very selective about the artists they work with. They say that: 

"There aren't many people that can sort of penetrate our little circle of trust and it has to be someone really special." 

It's really amusing to see that Jin became that 'someone special' for Coldplay and became a part of their world with his own vision on the process of creating music and approaching the world. Even the language barrier did not come in the way!
