#ProtectSuga trends after V.I.P. and ARMY come together to protect Suga from toxic fans after he showed his admiration for Taeyang and BIGBANG
On January 18, Taeyang appeared as a guest on Suga's talk-show 'SuChwiTa's 3rd episode.
In this episode, both sides shared their own stories and talked about music and more. In the past, BTS members never hid their admiration for BIGBANG and the members, and they said that they started their careers after seeing BIGBANG.
On the 3rd episode of 'SuChwiTa,' Suga expressed his admiration for BIGBANG and Taeyang again. However, it irritated toxic fans on social media, and they bad-mouthed Suga and even told him to leave the group and claimed that he threw Armys under the bus.
This caused 2 fandoms to come together to join forces. V.I.P. and ARMY have come to Suga's defense, and #ProtectSuga trended on Twitter.

ARMY is a bit like religious extremists in that some of them will go off the rails and be denounced from the rest of the fandom for being a bunch of nut jobs. Even more proof how intense akgaes are when it comes to BTS.

I and every fan I know -- ARMY and VIP alike -- are delighted to see more interactions between two legendary groups. Support is not a zero sum race where only one can win; there's always a need for more art and creativity in this crazy world!
