Nam Goong Min and Ahn Eun Jin will be leading MBC's new historical wartime romance drama, 'Lovers'.
The story takes place in the midst of the Qing invasion of Joseon, when war and its devastation takes over the lives of thousands of villages. Amidst the chaos, the daughter of a noble family, who grew up loved by all men, falls in love with a mysterious man with a dark past.
Ahn Eun Jin will take on the role of Yoo Gil Chae, a refined woman desired by all of the noblemen. Opposite her, Nam Goong Min takes on the role of Lee Jang Hyun, a man who suddenly appears in the ranks of Joseon's high society overnight, but whom no one knows anything about.
Scripted by Hwang Jin Young of 'The Rebel: Thief Who Stole The People' and directed by Kim Sung Yong of 'The Veil', MBC's 'Lovers' is set to air some time in the second half of 2023.
