Apink's Eunji was appointed as an Honorary Ambassador for the "2023-2024 Korea-Thailand Mutual Visit Years," to promote international tourism between both countries.

South Korea and Thailand have decided to conduct the "2023-2024 Mutual Visit Year" project.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism(Korea) announced on Friday that it signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the tourism sector, including the 2023-2024 Korea-Thailand Mutual Visit Year. Under the memorandum of understanding, the two countries will hold large-scale tourism exchange events for the next two years as part of the 'Mutual Visit Year,' promote tourism destinations in both countries using online and offline media, strengthen the capacity of tourism workers, and encourage cultural, artistic, and sports events linked to tourism. plan to proceed.

As the first fruit of that effort, on December 15, the 'Korea Tourism Night' event was held in Thailand. Journalists and tourism industry workers from both countries attended the event, and Apink's Eunji was appointed as an Honorary Ambassador for the "2023-2024 Korea-Thailand Mutual Visit Year." 

On December 15th, Eunji flew to Bangkok, Thailand, to attend "Korea Night," a celebration of The start of the 2023-2024 Korean-Thai Tourism Year.

At the event, Eunji said, "I am very happy to be appointed as an Ambassador. Thailand has made many good memories for me every time. Personally, I have come to Thailand many times. And meeting "Panda" (Apink's fandom name) we'd will always get a lot of love and encouragement. Though I have never had a chance to travel around Thailand, Because most of my visits were for work all the time. But i received a warm welcome throughout my time here. So when talking about Thailand, it always reminds me of warmth."

And talking about Korea, Eunji revealed that "The Republic of Korea itself has many spectacular structures. Not only Seoul, but Busan, my hometown, has a beautiful view and equally delicious food. It's important to each city in Korea, and there are different festivals. I can guarantee that everyone will definitely experience the unique charm of each city.

Not only will this act restore lunch tourism between the two countries as it did before the COVID-19 pandemic strengthen international relations."
