ITZY will be holding a two-day Japan stop for their first world tour "Checkmate" in February next year!
On November 19, JYP Entertainment released a posted on ITZY's official SNS channel to announce the additional stop where ITZY will be meeting local audiences at the Makuhari Event Hall in Chiba, Japan, on February 22 and 23, 2023. With that, ITZY expanded its world tour to a total of 17 times in 14 cities around the world.
The world tour, which kicked off on August 6 and 7 at SK Olympic Handball Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, was successfully held in eight U.S. cities, from Los Angeles to all the way to New York. They will also be holding an Asian leg of this tour early next year starting from Philippines where they added a second day to, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, and now Japan.
