Acclaimed director Yeon Sang Ho of 'Train To Busan', 'Peninsula', and 'Hellbound' has teamed up with Netflix once again for a mystery series, called 'Burial Ground' (working title).
The series unfolds when a man suddenly passes away, and his daughter inherits the family's traditional Korean burial ground. Soon, the woman becomes entangled in a series of ominous incidents at a nearby village.
Director Yeon Sang Ho has enlisted a team of trustworthy veterans for his new project, beginning with actress Kim Hyun Joo, who will take on the female lead Yeon Seo Ha. Kim Hyun Joo also worked with director Yeon Sang Ho in his previous Netflix series, 'Hellbound', garnering global attention for her performance. Joining Kim Hyun Joo is Park Hee Soon as a detective with a keenness for detail, Choi Sung Joon, as well as Park Byung Eun, another detective chief named Park Sang Min. Actor Ryu Kyung Soo completes this lead cast as Kim Young Ho, Seo Ha's half-sibling.
Meanwhile, director Yeon Sang Ho is currently also working on season 2 of Netflix's 'Hellbound'.
