Jimin is one of the most loved idols not just in South Korea but also globally, with possibly the biggest fan support for any individual K-pop idol. He proves this time and again with the kind of pull he has on fans and the general public alike whenever there is anything that is associated with him in any way. For example, his visit to Jeju island while on vacation caused a big influx of tourists to the island and boosted the local economy as well as the brand ranking of the city significantly [read here, here, and here]. Any item he is seen wearing, such as clothing or jewelry, usually goes out of stock in no time [read here and here for examples], and any mentions or recommendations he gives, such as a dish or music, also attract huge attention and even takes over social media trends [read here, here and here for examples]. 

Instances like this illustrate why Jimin has been at the top of the brand reputation ranking (a measure of the most marketable idols in South Korea based on how the general public perceives the idols) for 44 months overall as of September 2022. His brand power is insurmountable, and this is why he is called the 'brand king.'

The festive month of October, Jimin's birthday month has become another opportunity for Jimin's brand power to be seen. Fans from all over the world have organized numerous birthday projects to celebrate his upcoming birthday on October 13, and some of the events are already ongoing, as reported previously. Many of the fans have noted the unbelievably huge traffic of visitors all showing up to attend Jimin's birthday events, some being fans while others are simply curious locals attracted by all the colorful events. In effect, the venues where the birthday events are held have recorded big jumps in revenue, even causing some of the projects to be extended for their positive impact!

The 'Jiminland' event at Seongsu Yeonbang has especially been buzzing with activity and has recorded huge economic benefits for the businesses in the complex, causing the project's extension by four days. Long queues have been seen in the different stations of the event, and it does not matter whether it is sunny or rainy, people are still lining up patiently waiting for their turn to partake in the different activities.

Other fans have posted conversations that they overheard while at the events, where locals or non-fans were all curious about what was going on at the venue, that has attracted so many people. They were also curious about the beautiful photo booth, and even though they did not know of his birthday, it appeared that they definitely knew Jimin once he was mentioned.

Another 'Jiminland' event at Yeongdo that just opened for activities is also already attracting lots of visitors irrespective of their age and gender, all of whom are queuing to take photos with the many Jimin displays at the venue, such as the giant Jimin doll and flower wall.

In Peru, fans organized a themed water show and exhibition where all the different talents that Jimin has were highlighted. The show also had a huge gathering of fans who watched it as they sang Jimin's songs, making the moment more magical! Fans were amazed at the big crowd and their hearts melted away on hearing them sing Jimin's songs, making them immensely proud of how much love and support their idol has.

Jimin's themed giant mural that was painted on a 3-storey building has also become a hot topic and a hot point for visitors. Some fans who went to see it posted videos and photos of the scene showing that a big crowd had gathered at that venue as well. Passersby could not help but stop and look at the mural, showing how eye-catching it is and how much influence Jimin has on the public. In fact, one of fans made a social media post noting that some of the locals passing by immediately recognized the mural to be that of Jimin, which was surprising and also proof of how widely popular Jimin is.

Jimin will always be a brand king and a global IT boy, whether it is through activities associated with him or just him in person.
