iKON members Kim Jinhwan and Kim Donghyuk receive praise from netizens for their judging and mentoring style as international juries for the Indonesian audition program 'The Indonesian Next Big Star.'

iKON's main vocalist Jinhwan, and main dancer and also a vocalist, Donghyuk, are taking part in Indonesia's newest talent search program, 'The Indonesian Next Big Star' as international juries. Since the announcement in August, fans are looking forward to the expertise the iKON members can impart to the program with their experience in the industry and also as a product of a survival program themselves. Since pre-debut, iKON took part in several survival programs WIN: Who Is Next (2013), MIX & MATCH (2014), Heroes of Remix (2016), and the most recent Kingdom: Legendary War (2021), gaining them a nickname "master of survival shows." Since the first episode on October 14, netizens flooded Twitter to praise the international juries for their solid comments and advice on the audition hopefuls showing their apparent mastery of the field.

The program is still on the first part of the competition, 'Sing Off,' where hopefuls get to sing in front of the judges, and the judges will get to decide whether they will proceed to the next part of the competition with a yes or no. The judges met different kinds of singers, from good singers to singers with almost professional skills. And since this is an audition program, the judges are meant to meet singers who still have ample to improve on, and the iKON members took this chance to help these hopeful singers with their advice while also complimenting them.

A certain auditionee, Faith Christabelle, wowed the viewers with her soulful voice and excellent guitar-playing skills. She sang an Indonesian song 'Butiran Debu' and IU's 'Ending Scene.' Donghyuk praised her performance and also gave her pointers to improve on, mainly focusing on her execution of adlibs.

In another part, Jinhwan also gave his advice to a young hopeful. The young singer has a great voice but was too nervous. Despite Jinhwan still giving his compliment for doing a great job singing the whole song.

'The Indonesian Next Big Star' also met a good amount of singer-songwriters. Upon knowing the auditionee is a songwriter, Donghyuk gave the auditionee a chance to sing his original song. Another auditionee, Joanna Anurea, also a songwriter, receives praise after singing her own written song and released single. Donghyuk gave compliments on how the song perfectly fits her, like tailored clothes.

Audition hopefuls can truly count on Donghyuk and Jinhwan for compliments and constructive criticisms, which is crucial in every audition programs. 'The Indonesian Next Big Star' airs every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 7 PM Western Indonesian Time or 9 PM KST.
