TXT's Taehyun becomes the latest addition to the long list of HYBE's junior artists who look up to Jimin as a performer

Jimin has cemented his name into history as one of the best dancers and performers to ever exist in K-pop. His diverse background in dancing with skills indifferent dance genres have positioned him at a unique advantage over every other dancer in the industry as his moves tend to incorporate aspects of each of the different dance styles, making the moves distinctive and completely his own even when performing choreographies with his group members. In effect, he has earned high praises from fans, fellow dancers in the industry, and other industry professionals and has won several dance awards and polls for years on end[read here]. Younger idols look up to him and see him as a role model when it comes to performing. They draw inspiration from him, admire him, and aspire to be able to perform just like him because he has become the industry standard. This phenomenon has especially been seen among the members of the younger groups under HYBE Labels, including TXT, ENHYPHEN, and the newly debuted LESSERAFIM.

Taehyun from TXT is the latest member to mention Jimin and his dance. In an interview with Weverse Magazine, Taehyun said that he looks up to Jimin when dancing, stating that of all the performers that he knows, he thinks that Jimin is the pinnacle when it comes to the classical dance style. So he imagines what Jimin would do and tries to emulate him when performing different choreographies.

Previously, Beomgyu, another member of TXT, had also praised Jimin's dancing and energy that 'makes him look like he will break his bones,' saying that he too wants to express the same kind of energy in his dance.

A third member of TXT, Hueningkai, named Jimin's Filter performance as his inspiration. He said that the performance helped in inspiring him when he was thinking about how he could be expressive in his own performance with his group. Beomgyu also pointed out Jimin's attitude in this performance and how he poured everything onto the stage, which is something he admired immensely. These younger idols are always looking to Jimin to learn and improve their own stages.

Just a few days ago, Kazuha Nakamura from the newly debuted girl group LESSERAFIM also revealed in an interview with Weverse Magazine that she auditioned for HYBE with BTS' 'Dynamite,' in which she found Jimin's dance especially beautiful when she saw it. She was particularly impressed with how well Jimin balanced classical dance with K-pop choreography, and it absolutely spiked her interest in performing as well, given that she is a professional ballerina herself.

From the group ENHYPHEN, Jay is one of those who mentioned Jimin so many times as his role model, be it in dance or in fashion.

When talking about dancing during an interview with Weverse Magazine, he said he wants to dance as though it is an easy thing to do even though he was putting every last bit of his energy into the performance, enough to collapse from exhaustion. For him, Jimin is his role model because he can pull off something like this.

NI-KI is another member of ENHYPHEN who has expressed his love for Jimin's 'Lie' performance and his wish to cover it, which he already ended up doing. He says he feels good when he dances to 'Lie' due to the contemporary parts, a dance genre he studied briefly, and he wanted to dance it as a representative of his group and make it look cool, just as Jimin does. In fact, he also said he auditioned for BE:LIFT LAB using the same song.

SUNGHOON, another member of ENHYPHEN, has also expressed his desire to cover 'Lie,' saying that the classical dance really complements his ideal way of performing, considering that he is also good at contemporary dance and used to be a professional figure skater. Jimin greatly inspires a lot of idols in this field of contemporary/classical dance.

ENHYPHEN's leader JUNGWON is on this list as well. While in the practice room with fellow bandmate Sunghoon, he started to talk about how Jimin was dancing while tying his shoelaces during a 'Fake Love' dance practice, and he said it was really cool.

The duo also mirrored Jimin's iconic marionette move from the same 'Fake Love' performance that Jimin had performed during BTS' visit to the I-LAND survival show, and Jay had been entirely blown away by the move, and he could be seen covering his mouth as he gasped.

Be it within or outside of the label, Jimin is a role model to many, and it can be seen that some of the artists under HYBE, in fact, decided to audition for the company because of Jimin. No one suits the title of 'Idol or Idols' and 'Rookies' Bible' better than Jimin does.
