On June 1, IST Entertainment notified fans of Weeekly member Jiyoon's formal departure from the team.
Previously, Jiyoon halted her activities temporarily in August of 2021 due to severe symptoms of anxiety disorder. After resuming promotions in December of the same year, Jiyoon once again took a hiatus in March of this year, due to the return of her anxiety.
Now, approximately 3 months later, IST Entertainment has delivered news of Jiyoon's departure from Weeekly, so that she can focus on her treatment and recovery. From now on, Weeekly will promote as 6-members with Soojin, Soeun, Monday, Jihan, Jaehee, and Zoa.
