Jimin is undoubtedly one of the most powerful solo artists in South Korea, even though he is yet to make an official solo debut. His solo songs released under the BTS discography keep recording new achievements and setting unprecedented records with each new dawn despite being unpromoted B-side tracks in their respective albums. Even the unofficial solo releases have posted impressive performances, such as 'Promise' being the most-streamed song of all time on Soundcloud and 'Christmas Love' holding the record for the most-streamed Korean solo audio track in the first 24 hours on YouTube.This alone attests to his power as an individual artist, and there is no telling the kind of records he could break with an official solo debut.

March 19th saw 'Filter' reach new heights in sales in different countries, namely Canada and the US, thereby setting new records.

Filter rose to the top of the Canadian iTunes chart on this day, making it the 116th country for the song to attain a #1 on iTunes. By so doing, 'Filter' extended its own record as the highest-charting BTS solo song on iTunes as well as continuing to hold the record as the B-side track with the most #1s in the history of iTunes.

On the same day, just a short while later, 'Filter' was also reported to have now sold over 500k units in the US, making it his third solo song to be eligible for RIAA Gold Certification in the US. Jimin became the FIRST and ONLY Korean soloist to ever achieve this on the largest music market in the world [read here]. 

Fans celebrated the two achievements and sent congratulatory messages to Jimin while also praising him and his influence as a solo artist. Various tags entered Twitter trends, with the overwhelming number of tweets celebrating both of Jimin's new achievements.

Earlier on in the day, the Brand Reputation ranking for individual boy group members for the month of March 2022 had just been released, and Jimin emerged at the top. This became his 39th month, being the #1 idol in brand reputation, having held the spot for 35 consecutive months up until November of 2021. The Brand reputation index is a measure of the marketability of an idol in South Korea based on how the public perceives the idol. It can influence factors such as brand endorsement deals whereby corporations are most likely to select the top-ranking idols as brand ambassadors.

Being such an important ranking for South Koreans, fans in the country celebrated Jimin's win as is their tradition by trending various hashtags on Twitter to congratulate him.

On the international side, Jimin's fanbase in Canada made donations to the UNICEF, UNHCR, and Salvation Army Ukraine Emergency Funds to celebrate the many highlights of the day for Jimin. The donations were made in Jimin's name and were intended to help in providing emergency shelter, food, medical aid, and safe and clean water to the Ukrainian people, especially the children.

The day was filled with record after record for Jimin, and his fans could not be more proud of their idol, making them to look forward to his upcoming releases even more.
