Lee Jung Jae makes history as the first Asian male actor to win male actor award at the 'Screen Actors Guild Awards'

Lee Jung Jae made another history with his performance in 'Squid Game'. 

On February 27th, Lee Jung Jae won the award for outstanding performance by a male actor in a drama series for his role in Squid Game at the 28th 'Screen Actors Guild Awards'. This marks Lee Jung Jae's first-ever SAG nomination and win, as well as the first Asian male actor to win the award. 


"Oh my god, thank you so much! This is truly huge that's happened to me," commented Lee Jung Jae while accepting his award on stage. "Well, I did write a lot but I don't think I can read it all."

He continued, "Say no words, thank you so much SAG-AFTRA awards, and thank you to the global audience for all of your love for Squid Game. And thank you Squid Game team."

Well deserved! His role was so diverse - from the 'no good' son/ father, to the most humane character and hero. Few actors would have been able to carry the role and make Gi Hun so likeable in the end.
