Kep1er fans criticize YouTuber DanceKang for his exaggerated facial expressions while performing a cover dance of "WA DA DA"

YouTuber DanceKang has been under fire for his recent cover dance video of Kep1er's "WA DA DA."

The YouTuber has been gaining steady popularity with his dance cover videos filmed from the living room of his own home. Although the dance choreography and the YouTuber's facial expression are exaggerated, he garnered much attention for his exceptional dance skills. With more and more popularity, he has been invited by artists such as HyunA to do various dance content. Additionally, he has been inviting the artists to his home to do the dance cover videos with him to promote their new songs.

However, recently, he has been under fire for his latest dance cover for Kep1er's new song, "WA DA DA." Kep1er fans were angered when the YouTuber made ridiculously exaggerated facial expressions, and fans have alleged that DanceKang seemed to ridicule the girl group.

One of these fans complained, "If he was going to do a dance cover, he should have done it properly, his face is f*** gross, I'm going to throw up. It's so f****d up how he only danced Kep1er's this way. Does he feel like he's become something because he invited celebrities to his home a few times?"

Another fan criticized, "Are people shielding him because he does dance covers of female or male idols this way? Because he was like this before...?? I don't know why they're shielding him.."

Many netizens pointed out that DanceKang has been exaggerating his cover dances more and more as he gained more attention. Many Kep1er fans were upset as the facial expressions made by the YouTuber were not flattering at all.

These netizens gathered to an online community to discuss this issue, and many were divided when it came to the latest cover. Netizens commented, "I think people are overreacting. He's been like this for a while," "I think it's an overreaction to say he's doing this only for one girl group," and "That's his thing, he does this all the time." Netizens with the opposing view commented, "But he is doing it overboard this time. I went to watch the video and his facial expression is more exaggerated than the other videos," "He was sticking out his tongue in a weird way," "I would feel uncomfortable and unhappy if he was doing that with my favorite idol's songs," and "I do agree his latest video is so exaggerated, Why does make his face expression like that."

I feel like Kpop fans have become way too judgmental of people doing dance covers lately. God forbid you're not a carbon copy of the original, down to the outfit and facial expression, you're doing the dance wrong and you shouldn't be posting it. Like, what happen to doing dances for fun and just being silly? Yes dance is a beautiful form of art and sport that should be respected and admired, but it's also something people can do to let loose and have fun. Not everyone doing Kpop dance covers and challenges and posting it is out there to become an idol or professional dancer. Just because someone posts their dance cover, doesn't mean they're looking for competition or to be 100% perfect. Let them have their fun, let loose, and do dances their way. If you don't like it, just click away and don't watch it.
