On December 30, fans celebrated the third anniversary of Jimin's first-ever self-composed song, 'Promise,' which he released on Soundcloud and termed as his first present to the fans. It is a song in which Jimin poured his whole heart into, putting in lots of effort to make it a song that would touch the hearts of as many people as possible, people who may need to hear the message contained in the song.

While speaking of the song's composition, Jimin enunciated that he had hoped to bring comfort to any individual who may be suffering in silence, wallowing in thoughts that they cannot share with others. This comfort was expressed both in the song lyrics and in Jimin's incredibly smooth, soothing, and angelic voice.

Jimin's message did resonate with multitudes of people around the world just as soon as the song was released. This was demonstrated by the fact that 'Promise' recorded the biggest 24-hour debut on Soundcloud by accumulating 8.5 million streams, breaking Drake's 4.9 million record that he had achieved with his highly anticipated diss track directed to Kanye West and Pusha T, the Duppy Freestyle. Various media outlets like Billboard and MTV reported on this piece of news as it was a big deal that Jimin released this track as a surprise and never did any promotions following its release either, yet still managed to achieve such an overwhelming response. Different acclaimed personalities and multi-national corporations also spoke about 'Promise' after its release.

Since then, 'Promise' has gone on to become the most-streamed song in the history of Soundcloud as of June 16, 2021, as confirmed by the platform's official account on Twitter. Presently, the song has garnered over 303 million streams as of December 26th and continues to hold this record. To celebrate the third anniversary of this beautiful masterpiece, fans engaged in various activities such as donations, animal adoptions, café events, tree planting, and other fun activities.

For donations, tree planting, and adoptions, one fanbase adopted a red panda in Jimin’s name from the Toronto Zoo Wildlife Conservancy under the Toronto Zoo Adopt an Animal Program while another planted 50 trees in Madagascar in Jimin's name.

Jimin's fanbase in Brazil donated towards the emergency fundraising campaign to support families displaced in Bahia as a result of heavy rains and floods.

The fanbase in Japan donated to Dongseongwon (Korea Social Welfare Corporation) in Geumjeong-gu, Busan, Jimin's hometown, with the hope that Jimin's love will be delivered to a meaningful place on a meaningful day.

It has been previously reported that other donations were made by Jimin's fans in South Korea, such as the 10.13 million KRW donation made to the Korea Children Leukemia Foundation by the "ALL FOR JIMIN" CHOEAEDOL TEAM and another donation of the same amount made to the same foundation by the JIMIN GALLERY team. In addition, a 7 million KRW donation was made to G-Foundation, a non-governmental organization, to aid underprivileged children from low-income families and in children's homes, as well as to help in providing sanitary products.
