The 4th cast member was introduced to the judges and audience members as an actress, known for her roles in dramas like 'Descendants of the Sun' and 'Iris'. The singer/actress was Hyun Joo Ni, who debuted as an actress through 'Beethoven Virus' and then went on to promote as a rock vocalist.
Next, the 5th cast member was ballad singer Byul, also famous for being wife of TV personality HaHa. Regarding her decision to appear on the program, Byul revealed, "During my first pregnancy, I thought, 'I'll recover quickly after my first so I can go back to being a singer. But then, suddenly, we were having our second and third children."
Byul also added on, "My husband knows my energetic side well, so he cheered me on and told me to go show everyone how energetic I can be." Despite returning to the stage for the first time in approximately 9 years, Byul wowed the judges and audience members with her graceful vocals. In particular, the judges noted that Byul's voice was not only fit for emotional ballads, but also for girl group numbers.
The 6th member to greet the cast members was former Baby Vox Re.V member Yang Ji Eun. This marked Yang Ji Eun's return to TV for the first time in 13 years, as she revealed, "I married early and was a mom before I knew it. Then I had my second and third, and all of a sudden, I'd been living as a mom for 12-years. I am the textbook example of a pregnancy career gap."
Yang Ji Eun also shared that her daughter, who is in 5th grade, often teases her past videos of her idol days. The former idol then vowed to prove to her daughter that she had what it takes to shine on stage.
With all 6 cast members gathered, the ladies of 'Mom Is An Idol' will be carrying out various missions moving forward in order to build a fanbase and prepare for their debut as a project girl group. Next week, Sunye, Kahi, Park Jung Ah, Hyun Joo Ni, Byul, and Yang Ji Eun will be forming teams to compete in dance battles.
