aespa's Karina expressed her gratitude toward SHINee's Key and Girls' Generation's Taeyeon.

On October 5 KST, the aespa members attended the online press conference for their upcoming 1st mini album 'Savage'. This will be their 1st physical album release, after debuting with their single "Black Mamba" back in Novermber 2020. In addition to their title track "Savage", the mini album will include the side tracks "ænergy", "I'll Make You Cry", "Yeppi Yeppi", "Iconic", and "Lucid Dream", having a total of 6 tracks.

Previously, aespa released their megahit track "Next Level", gaining a lot of attention for its catchy melody and fun choreography. aespa's Karina expressed her gratitude toward SHINee's Key and Girls' Generation's Taeyeon for doing a dance cover of their hit track. Karina stated, "Many people have followed our choreography. I'm the type that looks everything up one by one, so I saw a lot of videos. On [the variety show] 'Amazing Saturday', I saw Taeyeon sunbaenim and Key sunbaenim dance to ['Next Level']. Their facial expressions and dance moves were perfect. That video is the most prominent one in my memories."

Meanwhile, aespa will be releasing their 1st mini album 'Savage' on October 5 at 6PM KST.
