Model and actress Lee Sung Kyung revealed she got stretch marks for the first time in her life from gaining weight for her role in 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo'.
On the July 14th episode of JTBC's 'Seri Money Club', Lee Sung Kyung appeared as a guest. Host Park Se Ri complimented Lee Sung Kyung for her acting performance on 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo'. She then asked Lee Sung Kyung if she was okay with gaining weight for the roles in drama series when she's a model.
Lee Sung Kyung replied she wasn't afraid of gaining weight because the acting was fun. She continued, "It's a shame I couldn't gain weight in a healthy way for 'Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo' because I didn't have enough time."
Lee Sung Kyung also shared her feelings after filming the drama. "I got stretch marks because I gained weight so rapidly. It was hard seeing stretch marks on me, especially when you can't get rid of them. But playing Kim Bok Joo was precious to me."
