Park Jimin, the lead vocalist and the main dancer in BTS is well-known for his record smashing song, "Promise" on SoundCloud. Recently "record smasher" Jimin strikes again as "Promise" officially become the second most stream song of all time on SoundCloud! Promise by Jimin dethroned "1.5- XO TOUR Llift3" by Lil Uzi Vert. 

Jimin is known as a major record holder in SoundCloud after he dropped "Promise" unannounced and immediately broke SoundCloud's biggest 24-hours debut record with 8.5M streams. The record previously was held by Drake with "Duppy Style". On 2019, SoundCloud announced their "2019 Playback" and "Promise" by Jimin was crowned as the "Buzziest Drop" in 2019 for its endless record breaking series on the streaming platform. 

With over 1M likes recorded, "Promise" is the most like Korean track on SoundCloud. Up until now, Jimin is the first and only South Korean act to entered top 10, top 5 and top 3 most stream songs of all time chart. "Promise" is the only Korean song and the only ballad song on the chart. "Promise" by Jimin was uploaded under "Hip-Hop" category upon released, which means the competition to chart it tougher than other category. However Jimin still managed to compete with some of the huge names on SoundCloud and continue to set major records there, proving his impact and strong potential as a soloist.
