Popular Japanese Media (Yahoo Japan) highlighted BTS' V as the "Absolute King of K-pop" in their recent review of Korean drama 'Itaewon Class'.

Alongside labelling the drama as 'a huge hit', they also mentioned about V,

"The latest solo song 'Sweet Night' by BTS member V, the 'Absolute King of the K-POP World', topped Korean charts as well as Worldwide iTunes Top Song Chart."

Last year also, J-Media called him "Emperor of K-pop".

Also, according to recent data of Japan Fanclub Official Merch 1st Day Sales, V has the most sales and highest increase among the BTS members. V's individual merch sales have surpassed 24 million JPY, almost accounting for 33% of total merch sales.

He is also the most searched BTS member in Japan along with being the most popular Korean Celebrity in Japan (as per Twipple data). (Source)
