The collaboration of the global phenomenon BTS and the renowned brand “Samsung” has been one of the most celebrated partnerships of the septet.
The news of the collaborations first came into light during the 2020 Samsung’s Unpacked event in early February when an image of BTS member V briefly flashed on the screens. V’s surprise appearance made countless headlines as both fans and locals alike anticipated the partnership of South Korea’s two most eminent brands.
The first promotional series for the “Galaxy x BTS” campaign made waves on social media in early March. In particular, V’s promotional advertisements have been reported to have the highest engagement on both Twitter and YouTube.
Samsung even highlighted V’s popularity and reported: “A 15-second clip starring V reached particularly notable heights on the microblogging platform, amassing 1.1 million views, 90,000 retweets, and 220,000 likes on its own since its Friday debut.”
V’s advertisement on YouTube has been widely loved by the fans as well as the video has garnered the most likes among the members.
In addition, Samsung’s official accounts on Twitter have shown major love towards V on multiple occasions.
In February, @SamsungMobile replied to a post by a fan regarding V’s unexpected appearance at the 2020 Samsung’s Unpacked event. Moreover, @SamsungBrasil replied humorously to a fan asking V to come along with the phone with: “He doesn’t fit in the box.”
On a tweet citing V as the most successful model for the brand, @SamsungMobileUS noted V’s powerful impact and replied: “Well, you’re not wrong.”
Along with the brand, both fans and Korean netizen alike have shown much love towards V.
Many fans have stated V as the perfect model for the brand due to his stunning marketability.
