The producing process of the drama "Chimera" has been delayed because of sexual harassment over staff.

On July 16, the production company JS Pictures of the drama "Chimera" told Xportsnews, "It's true that we suspended the filming because of the sexual harassment case on June 15. Assistant director "A" - the offender, and producer "C" - who hurt the victim later, were dismissed. The filming crew and the production company posted the apology on the group chat room of all the cast and staff, and is handling the case."

According to the TV industry, at the party with the participation of several members of "Chimera"'s production team on June 15, director assistant "A" had sexually harassed screenwriter "B". The company side said they were aware of the incident and asked "A" to apologize to "B" at the meeting of the main staff on June 29.

However, victim "B" retold the case on a forum that she had intended to withdraw from the filming crew after receiving the apology from the attacker, but she ended up being apologized by "A" in a forest far away from the filming set with the presence of only a few staff such as filming director, DOP, director of lighting, etc. At the same time, she was hurt for the second time when being criticized by producer "C" for not avoiding it.

Regarding this, the company explained, "After learning that producer 'C' caused further pain for 'B', we criticized and asked 'C' to withdraw from the drama. However, it was 'B' that agreed to receive the apology at the filming location, and the revelation of 'B' that 'A' apologized at a forest away from the filming site is not true."

We are terribly ashamed that we couldn't quickly respond to the entire staff and actors - those who worry about this situation. We believe that instead of rescheduling, our top priority right now has to be giving our sincere apology to the victims.

Through today's meeting with the scriptwriter who is harmed, we learned that in the conversations with the above-mentioned producers during the past time, there were many words that caused more damage to the scriptwriter like "That's enough, say now what you want to say", "At that time, why didn't you avoid it?". The producers couldn't give anything further to explain their failure to grasp the situation as well as to provide an appropriate measure as a mediator.
