On April 18, representatives from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Office confirmed to media outlets that charges against former F.T. Island member Jonghun for alleged attempts to cover up media reports about his past DUI were ultimately dropped.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police came to this conclusion after conducting a forensic analysis of a phone used by the police officer who was in charge of Jonghun's DUI case at the time.
On April 19, Jonghun's charges of offering bribery to a police officer after being stopped for a DUI in 2016 will be forwarded to prosecution. The former idol is also facing prosecutors' decision on charges of distributing illegal sexual content via social platforms.
