Idol groups you probably forgot had lineup changes

AKP STAFF

There are a few idol groups that go through member changes later on in their careers, but sometimes the member changes are so early on in the idols' careers that if you're not a fan, you may not realize that they even had member changes. Here is a list of some of the idol groups that went through member changes that you may have forgotten about:

1. A Pink

A Pink used to be 7 members with Youkyung when they debuted back in 2011. However, Youkyung left in April 2013, pretty early into their career. The girls have been 6 members for almost 6 years, so many kind of forgot that there was a 7th member.

2. F.T. Island

When F.T. Island debuted in 2007, Oh Won Bin was the band's guitarist/rapper/vocalist. He left the group in January 2009, and current member Seunghyun joined the group instead.

3. AOA

It's not really anyone's fault but FNC's that Youkyung (coincidentally the same name as the member who left A Pink...) kind of became forgotten. Youkyung even originally debuted as a half-angel, who only joined the group for band-related activities. She eventually left the group in 2016.

4. Super Junior

Many are well aware that Super Junior has gone through some changes in their lineup (such as Kibum leaving), but not many remember that maknae Kyuhyun wasn't part of the 2005 debut lineup. Kyuhyun did, however, join very quickly after in mid-2006.

5. Wonder Girls

Remember when HyunA was part of Wonder Girls? Many people think HyunA debuted with 4minute, but HyunA was part of Wonder Girls' debut song "Irony" in February 2007. HyunA left in July of the year, and was replaced by Yubin.

6. EXID

When EXID debuted in 2012 with "Whoz That Girl", the group had 6 members. Dami, Yuji, and Haeryeong have since then left the group, and have been replaced by Solji and Hyerin.

7. Girl's Day

Girl's Day debuted in 2010 with 5 members. However, Jisun and Jiin left two months after the debut, and were replaced by Yura and Hyeri. Later in 2012, Jihae also left the group and Girl's Day became the 4-member group that they're well known as being now.

Can you think of more groups where the current lineup seems like the debut lineup?

  2. AOA
  3. EXID
  4. F.T. Island
  5. Girl's Day

Kara is also a group people forgot had another original member. Sunghee left in 2008 due to parental pressure (it's a shame, she was beautiful and a pretty good singer- definitely Kara's best) and Hara and Jiyoung joined later, making Kara a 5 member group.

Later of course, Nicole left and Youngji joined the group.
