Check out the members of project groups Z-Girls and Z-Boys, each made up of trainees from 7 different countries

An intriguing new global idol group project is under way with the title, 'Z-Pop Dream', launched by Zenith Media Contents.

Recently, the 'Z-Pop Dream' project unveiled the members of its two project idol groups Z-Girls and Z-Boys. Each group is made up of 7 members, all 7 being from different countries!

Z-Girls is made up of Bell, Carlyn, Joanne, Priyanka, Queen, and Vanya, with one final, 7th member yet to be revealed. You can check out the 6 members' introductory profiles, below:

Similarly, Z-Boys is made up of Blink, Josh, Mavin, Perry, Roy, and Sid, with a final, mystery member remaining. You can check out the boys' introductory profiles, below:

Reportedly, the aim of the 'Z-Pop Dream' project is to create a concert brand which unites all of Asia, and act as a platform to foster the growth of world stars. It's likely that project groups Z-Girls and Z-Boys will be a temporary group where members can participate in a series of 'Z-Pop Dream Live' concerts over varying periods.

The first ever 'Z-Pop Dream Live in Seoul' is set to be held this February 23 at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium, featuring the above groups Z-Girls and Z-Boys. What do you think of this unique new project?

Hey gurl you are kinda correct. But i believe thats where we should come in and support groups like this. Dont you think?

Honestly, I really agree. SO many groups that had non-korean/chinese/japanese/Thai (really only Lisa, Bambam, Sorn, Minnie and Ten) members really did flop.

How can you decide its forced diversity. they havent even showcased anything yet.

Do you realize that most of kpop has been forced exclusion? To the point where most people say “don’t even audition if you’re not Asian” also, by the looks of it, they’re still following that rule. India is a part of Asia you bigot

Other than the indian girl, all of them are clearly from east asia ascend. When I've heard about an 'international group made with members from different countries' I first thought of many ethinicities in the same group, not all asians born in different countries...

Share

Well it didn’t say “different ethnicities” it just said “different countries” which is the truth

India is also an asian country. And the guy Sid is i think alos from India.

Share

I know India is also an asian country, but the ethnicity is different, that's why I remark the fact that most of them are EAST asian. It's not the same...

Read the entire article before you comment. Quote from the article:

"Reportedly, the aim of the 'Z-Pop Dream' project is to create a concert brand which unites all of Asia, and act as a platform to foster the growth of world stars. "

unites all of ASIA...

Then with more reason they should be making a 'global ethnicity' group, and not just east asians from around the world. The world has many more 'races' than just Asians so, if the goal is to 'act as a platform to foster the growth of world stars', they are doing it wrong... As I said, going 'global' means to include and accept races from all over the world and many asians are incredibly racist with those who doesn't look asian, specially Kntez; so then, how can anyone say that is trying to foster the growth of world stars if they are seeking just for asians born around the world? That is not the real meaning of 'going global', not even something similar. Unless, of course, they think as the many americans who, in many sports, they call themselves 'world champions' when there is not even a single other country from around the world playing for that title, or as when some of these companies anounce a 'world tour' and just go to Korea, Japan, China and perhaps some other asian country...

Are any of them Korean? If not then they're not a Kpop group. I like it when groups have some members from other countries but at least 50% of them have to be actual Koreans. Otherwise the result will be the same as comparing real manga to American "manga".

if you don’t have mostly korean members ,then it will definitely flop. it only works if there’s 2-4 international members and the rest are korean(should be more than the number of international members) in the group. Even all-korean groups from small agencies are having a hard time making it big, so how much more if you’re in a all-international group. They will just be branded as a cover group or more like a koreaboo group

lets support them. We cannot give up to K netizens so easily. Do you guys realise KPOP is a global market now thanks to BTS and Blackpink. Its not necessary to succed just in Korea. Do you realise if they crack into india they crack into a population of 1.3 billion people. Its all about diversity and embracing each other.

Share

nah.. it won’t be KPOP anymore without koreans singing it. Why do you think SM make NCT china(WayV) to promote in china without korean members and mostly chinese members? Besides, when you do KPOP, you have to promote it in korea. S. Korea is the core of Kpop. No, it still necessary to succeed in Korea. BTS and BLACKPINK has korean fans prior to succeeding internationally. Every KPOP group starts promoting in Korea, then gets more following trough international fanbase.

It is ok but kpop has its own style. And this too much diversity is just too much. Anyway ..........................................

Share

They can apply their style to anyone, if it is indeed a “style”. This is called growth. No one cares if your culture is traditionally xenophobic, that’s not an exuse. We shouldn’t excuse ignorance. Straight up non-American kpop stars are debuting in America (ie Lay)

In the first gen of kpop, kpop was music by Koreans. 2nd generation and on it was more “music in Korean” which is in itself more inclusive. As long as they’re talented, good at Korean and work hard to understand the culture, there shouldn’t be a problem

cute concept but unless they debut with a bop expect them to quickly fizzle not only bc Koreans dont take kindly to foreigners in K-pop but co-ed groups in general tend to sell poorly because the hardcore fans are all convinced everyone in the group is sleeping with each other

A true global group would be great. One with all major ethnicities:

A slav, a jew, a nordic, a mediterranean, a persian, an arab, a mestizo, a gypsy, a chinese, a black african, an australian aboriginal, an inuit and an american,

There's a reason Kpop groups do so well. One: KOREAN MEMBERS or East Asian members. People don't like SEA members or darker and lighter members. As in White, etc.

How about a change in the promotional region? Why do they have to promote in Korea first? We already know that K-netz won't be accepting toward them, and even if there is, it is a minority group.

Still don't understand their crypto currency shit. It was hard to understand bitcoin now ZPOP Coin? So shady.

So if we want to see their debut we have to buy Zpop coins from the company? And we have to see their content using our Zpop coins? Am i right? Is something like this gonna work?

You want to say that we will need to use cryptocurrency? I’m talking about bitcoin you meant bitcoinbestbuy.com/how-get-free-bitcoins ? I do not understand why they did it.
