On December 2, San E performed at Brand New Music's 'Brand New Year' concert at Seoul Olympic Park, where he commented on his recent feminist controversy and asked the audience, "Do you all hate me?" One person in the crowd gave the rapper a doll marked with insults against him, and San E responded, "Are there WOMAD and Megalia here? I want to tell the WOMAD and Megalia members here something. You're not feminists. You're psychos... You're social evils," referring to two popular feminist online communities in South Korea.
Brand New Music followed up with an official apology on the 4th, stating, "We take responsibility for all the controversies at the 'Brand New Year 2018' concert. We also sincerely apologize for the discomfort felt by the concertgoers and artists due to this recent incident."
