Gong Yoo has been cast in the movie adaptation of bestselling feminist novel 'Kim Ji Young, Born 1982' in the role of a man named Jung Dae Hyun - the female lead Kim Ji Young's husband.

'Kim Ji Young, Born 1982' deals with the story of a very normal woman in her 30s, Kim Ji Young, as well as her family and acquaintances. Earlier, actress Jung Yoo Mi was cast as the female lead, and now Gong Yoo has joined Jung Yoo Mi for another project together.
Previously, Gong Yoo and Jung Yoo Mi worked together in the films 'Silenced' and 'Train To Busan'.
