Steven Adams revealed his great love for IU.
On June 14, the NBA player for the Oklahoma City Thunder arrived in South Korea. Steven revealed to have traveled across the globe with a Korean friend to enjoy a tour of Korea.
During his stay, Steven got into contact with the Korean Basketball League (KBL) team Seoul Samsung Thunders while searching for a workout spot. The Seoul Samsung Thunders allowed Steven to have personal training time at Samsung Training Center (STC).
On June 20, media outlet SPOTV News met with Steven at STC. Regarding his first visit to South Korea, Steven commented, "It's very hot. There's a lot of things to check out and I'm enjoying my time. Enes Kanter, who played with me for Oklahoma City, loves Korea, so I heard many good things about Korea from him."
He added, "At first, people didn't recognize me but they started doing so after my travel to Korea made headlines."
Steven is a 1993-er. Many Korean fans expressed shock at the fact that he's the same age as IU. With this in mind, Steven was given the nickname 'IU's Friend'.
Steven was also aware of this title. He commented, "I know IU very well. I've seen her pictures and also heard her music. She's so popular," and said, "I've heard 'Good Day' and it was great. I really want to become her friend if given a chance. I will follow her on Instagram." Steven also straight up said, "She's hot" when asked about IU.
