On June 6, Tia addressed the questions about the competition show via Instagram story. The idol wrote, "A lot of people ask why I don't do Produce 101 or join a group. Honestly, it's because I don't want to do a group. Fame is not the issue, it's about doing what you want and being happy. I wasn't happy being in a group, which is why I'm doing things on my own now. Thanks for all the love and support guys! I appreciate you guys worrying about me. So I just wanted to clear the air!"
