Hwang Chi Yeol is a Hallyu rock star on 'KBS Anniversary' special of 'Immortal Song'

Hwang Chi Yeol, who found a lot of success in China, performed a cover of the much-beloved 1988 track "Hwanhee" by Jung Soo Ra, and as a winner of 11 episodes, the audience was looking forward to his rendition. The singer was introduced with the message, "Birth of a Hallyu star," and host Shin Dong Yup commented, "I hope to see a 2nd generation Hwang Chi Yeol and the 3rd generation of Hwang Chi Yeol as well."

The March 3rd installment featured a special for the 45th anniversary of KBS, and legendary artists came together to perform. Throughout the history of 'Immortal Song', over 900 singers sang 2000 tracks, and over 28,000 audience members attended to watch who won.
