EXO will be the first K-pop group honored by the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation.
The Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation (KOMSCO) is a government-owned corporation which is responsible to print and mint the banknotes and coins and other government documents in Korea. KOMSCO said, "We will be minting an official medal for EXO, who is the top idol group in Korea and in the center of Hallyu, and release it in April." KOMSCO is also responsible for creating the Pyeongchang Olympics medals.
All nine members will be on the front of the medal, and the back will include EXO's logo as well as preventive measures against counterfeits. Each medal will also come with an official number.
