On the February 16 airing of SBS 'Laws of the Jungle', actor Kim Seung Soo and Jung Chae Yeon went morning fishing together. While fishing, Kim Seung Soo asked the idol star if her parents ever opposed her dream of becoming a singer.
Jung Chae Yeon explained, "When I was signing my contract, I promised my parents that I will walk another path if I don't succeed at a certain age. And my mom said okay."
She continued, "Once I started showing a lot on TV, my mom said it's good to see my daughter on TV but when do I get to see her in person?" Jung Chae Yeon teared up and said, "There are times when I'm unable to contact my parents. I think I forget about them when I'm really busy."
Kim Seung Soo also shared that his parents were against his decision to become an actor but their opposition disappeared when he gifted them money.
Hearing this, Jung Chae Yeon said, "I've given allowance to my mom. I've also shown her my profit statement since it lists everything I've done. My mom then told me I've worked hard."
