Due to issues with staff members, Go Hyun Jung, who was in the female lead role Choi Ja Hae in 'Return', left the drama midway. Episode 15 aired back on February 14 was Go Hyun Jung's last appearance, and her role was replaced by actress Park Jin Hee starting from episode 16.
Park Jin Hee made a short yet strong first appearance as Choi Ja Hae with a scene consisting of her cutting her own hair.
According to Nielsen Korea, the ending scene of episode 16 with Park Jin Hee's first appearance recorded 20.4% - the highest viewer ratings 'Return' has ever recorded.
The controversy with the actress switch may have have played a beneficial role in the drama's viewer ratings, after all.
The next episode with new actress Park Jin Hee will air next Wednesday, February 21.
