Taemin thanks late Jonghyun and SHINee members in his award message at 'Seoul Music Awards'

On January 25, Taemin won the 'Popular Award' at the '27th Seoul Music Awards'. Unfortunately, the idol was not present at the event to personally accept the trophy. Label sunbae Super Junior's Leeteuk went on stage on behalf of Taemin and stated, "I'm standing here on behalf of SHINee maknae Taemin. I texted Taemin and asked what he wants to say to his fans who gave him the meaningful award, and he responded with a lengthy message. So I'll go ahead and read this for the fans of SHINee and Taemin."

At the end, Taemin stated, "Lastly, Jonghyun hyung who's watching from above, I'm so sorry and thank you. And SHINee members, I really appreciate you."

Leeteuk ended the speech by stating, "Please give strong support to SHINee who will once again soar high in 2018." 

Following the event, Taemin thanked his fans via SHINee's official homepage. With a selca, the idol stated, "Hello, this is Taemin! I was awarded the 'Popular Award' thanks to the fans. Thank you so much and I always love you hehe Let's meet again soon with a smile ^^"
