Seoul city's marketing manager comments on how BTS' immense power affected this year's campaign

Broadcasted on December 12, SBS' 'One Night of TV Entertainment' featured BTS demonstrating their expanding fame overseas, especially with their latest "Seoul" campaign song.


Cho Kyung Ik, the marketing manager for the city of Seoul, spoke up, "We just announced that BTS was releasing a track titled 'Seoul'.  The song was released for download on December 6.  And the servers on the site went down within 5 minutes."

The representative explained, "30,000 people from all around the world accessed the site at once. BTS is currently acting as honorary ambassadors for Seoul's tourism campaign."


He also commented, "It was indeed the works of God that BTS was selected the honorary ambassadors for our campaign. Since 2017 was a successful year, we are looking forward to more international tourists in the next year."
