On the evening of December 11, writer Choi Ran wrote a lengthy post titled 'Letting Go of Black'.� She said, "'Black' is one of my most cherished works in which I've worked on for a long time."
The scriptwriter continued, "While watching the final episode, many thoughts came to mind.� I had a lot of mixed emotions which was very unfortunate."
"I was upset by the fact that the things I wanted to tell in my story weren't clearly expressed in the broadcast.� Although I tried my best, I feel like it was a lack of communication."

She also commented, "There have been rumors going around saying that I (or the writing team) revealed the script for the final episode and even bought the actual script from a ghostwriter, which truly broke my heart," and explained that such remarks were false.
Meanwhile, 'Black' is a mystery/fantasy genre illustrating the story of a grim reaper (Song Seung Hun) who has the power to take away lives, while one�woman (Go Ara) has the ability to foresee death.�
Following the last episode, the drama received mixed reviews, stirring up much attention.
