On December 20, Hong Eun Ki went live on Naver V for 'Hong Eun Ki's #Hello'. During the broadcast, Hong Eun Ki talked about the unfortunate death of Jonghyun and said, "When I was young, I started dreaming of becoming a singer after seeing SHINee. I wanted to say hi to them after I debut, and with the dreams to do so, I debuted in Rainz. But I heard the unfortunate news. Honestly, I can't believe it. Not only me but many others also probably can't believe it. I wanted to tell sunbaenim myself that I dreamed of becoming a singer after seeing him..."
Hong Eun Ki was unable to continue talking for a while. After regaining his composure, he said, "I hope the many of you who are watching this right now take the time to dearly pray for Jonghyun sunbaenim and his family."

He added, "I wanted to tell him directly but I'm sorry that I'm doing so like this. I admire you so much. You've worked so hard and you did so well. I offer my deepest condolences. I believe many fans are feeling the same way as me. I want us to pray together for Jonghyun sunbaenim, who've worked so hard until the last moment. He'll always be the one and only shining artist in my heart."
Hong Eun Ki shed tears and played "Breathe" by Lee Hi as the last song of the broadcast.
