On the December 16 installment of 'The Unit', each team was given the mission of preparing a performance in which they had to create and think of everything from the stage to the attires. While preparing, the yellow team had a moment of heart-to-heart with one another and during the time, Junhyeok revealed what his mind was going through when he left DAY6.
He said, "I felt that I should not pursue music because I was so fearful of people - because of that reason, I couldn't do anything. I can say with certainty that I worried/thought more about it than anyone else when first coming on this show because I was so scared to stand in front of people. Even on the stage, I can't smile comfortably because I feel that I would get criticized no matter what."
Junhyeok finished while shedding tears, "I thought I would end up doing music in the future even as a hobby so I came on the show with the mindset of challenging myself before I get older. I never told anyone these, my parents don't know either."
