On the December 19 airing of MBC Every1's 'Video Star', ballad singer Han Dong Geun talked about how he almost debuted as an idol.
MC Park So Hyun asked Han Dong Geun, "I heard you almost became a member of Seventeen." Han Dong Geun replied, "That's what I heard, too."
He explained, "My agency (Pledis Entertainment) told me to try dance practice with them. So I went to dance practice but the choreographer told me to never dance again."

Han Dong Geun then showed affection for his labelmates and said, "I don't practice anymore. I just watch Seventeen's videos and read their articles. I also leave comments."
