On the November 4 episode of 'The Unit', long-time friends SHINee's Taemin and HOTSHOT's Timoteo reunited as a mentor and a contestant.

Hojeong and Timoteo of HOTSHOT appeared on the rebooting program for one more chance to shine. The two members performed EXO's mega-hit "Ko Ko Bop" in front of the audience as well as the mentors. They absolutely nailed their performance which resulted in them receiving the "Super Boot". Upon seeing the result, Timoteo and Hojeong hugged each other and couldn't help but express their excitement. Afterward, Timoteo and Taemin revealed their close friendship with each other that surprised everyone in the studio.

Timoteo said, "Uh...actually...my best friend developed his dream of being a singer after watching Rain sunbaenim. I, on the other hand, decided that I also wanted to be a singer after seeing that friend dancing to Rain sunbaenim's choreography. And now that I was able to perform in front of the two individuals and received a good result, it makes me even happier because of that reason." Taemin and Timoteo then revealed that the two go all the way back to elementary school and have been friends for the past 11 years.

Taemin was given a chance to say one last thing before wrapping up the stage but was unable to say much due to being flooded with emotions. He repeatedly said, "I'm sorry, I don't think I can do this" as he cried in front of his longtime friend.
