Big Bang, TVXQ, and SHINee are in the top 10 for attracting the most concertgoers in Japan

Japanese magazine Nikkei Entertainment released their annual list of the 'Top 50 Artists with the Largest Audiences for their concerts'. Big Bang was second overall on the list for 2017, with an impressive audience count of 1.02 Million people over 20 concerts.



The data is collected by Nikkei from actual concert numbers from January to October along with expected attendance numbers for November and December.


First place on the list was given to Japanese group J Soul Brothers from EXILE TRIBE as they collected 1.803 million audience members over 37 concerts. Other K-pop artists in the top 10 include TVXQ at #7 who collected 571,000 audience members over 11 concerts and SHINee at #8 who drew 539,000 audience members over 29 concerts.


K-pop artists outside of the top 10 include iKON at #12 with 463,000 audience members over 33 concerts, BTS at #26 with 309,000 audience members over 15 concerts, Daesung at #30 with 273,000 audience members over 43 concerts, G-Dragon at #34 with 259,000 audience members over just 5 concerts, and CNBLUE at #42 with 202,000 audience members over 20 concerts.


Last year, Big Bang was #1 on this list with an audience of 1.86 million people over 60 concerts.
