When asked about his co-stars, Kim Jung Hyun first complimented Jang Dong Yoon for his acting skills, saying, "He has many sides I can learn from." 

Kim Jung Hyun then talked about working with Gugudan's Kim Se Jung, beginning with, "There was no discomfort with Se Jung, because of her greed for acting despite it being her first time. I felt her passion. She made me think of my college days, when I constantly fell flat on my face learning to act. She prepared a lot, she found success, and she found disappointment. I was able to enjoy working with her because I saw myself in her." 

On making NG scenes during their romantic moments, Kim Jung Hyun said, "It was truthfully embarrassing. But when filming started, we focussed like professionals. We would laugh and make NGs about twice, then focus for real." 

The cast of 'School 2017' also visited Gugudan's recent fan meeting to cheer Kim Se Jung on. Kim Jung Hyun revealed that when he saw the singer Kim Se Jung for the first time, she seemed more distant and strange.
