The producers of 'The Unit' revealed the reason why they requested Rain to be one of the mentors on the show.

They said, "I think reasons as to why Rain chose to be on 'The Unit' will be delivered directly by him to the participants. We believe that as he becomes a mentor to these participants, he'll be able to plant a sense of hopefulness into them to just pursue their goals. When Rain and the group of contestants meet together, we're confident he will give them a sense of hope." The program will be airing its first episode on October 28.
