According to an affiliate on September 14, Bae Doo Na, Ryu Seung Ryong, and Joo Ji Hoon are currently looking into starring in the 'Netflix' original series, after receiving offers.

'Kingdom' is gearing up for its first production shoot in mid-October. The 8-episode series, a production by writer Kim Eun Hee and director Kim Sung Hoon, will also be produced by 'Netflix', marking the global streaming service's first original Korean drama.
If the actors decided to take on their offered roles, Ryu Seung Ryong will be returning to the small screen after 7 years since MBC's 'Personal Taste'. This is also Joo Ji Hoon's return two years since the SBS drama 'Mask', while Bae Doo Na will be returning to 'Netflix' again after 'Sense8'.
