Lee Seung Gi is in talks for a new tvN drama.
On August 21, various media outlets reported that Lee Seung Gi is playing Sun Wukong in new drama 'Hwayugi' (working title).
Producers of 'Hwayugi' responded to the report and stated, "It's true that actor Lee Seung Gi has been offered the role of Sun Wukong but it's not yet confirmed."
The fantasy drama written by the scriptwriters of 'My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox', 'The Greatest Love', 'The Sun of My Master', and more is scheduled to air in December.

'Hwayugi' might be Lee Seung Gi's first project following his impending discharge from the military in October.
