According to OSEN, Mr. Ko was rushed to The Catholic University of Korea Seoul St. Mary's Hospital after he was found bleeding in Gangnam, Seoul, however, he didn't survive.
Song Seon Mi's label JR Ent officially confirmed the death of her husband and stated, "Song Seon Mi is in deep shock and sorrow after hearing the news. Currently, the police are investigating the incident."
Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency soon announced that Mr. Ko has been stabbed to death. Cho (28) is accused of committing the murder and is currently under investigation.
According to the police, Cho, who was well aware of Mr. Ko's family business, was promised an immense amount of compensation for helping Mr. Ko with the trial regarding his inheritance. However, Cho was only given 10,000,000 KRW (~8,775 USD) by Mr. Ko, which is assumed to be the drive behind the brutal act.
Back in 2006, Song Seon Mi and Mr. Ko got married. The family welcomed their long-awaited first baby after 8 years of marriage in April of 2015. Currently, Song Seon Mi is playing the role of Park Seo Jin in MBC drama 'Return of Bok Dan Ji'.
