SISTAR members thanked their fans for their love.

SISTAR's Bora posted a photo on her Instagram with the other three members. The girls held a sign that fans had made for them for their concert together with MAMAMOO. The slogans read, "We'll remember you SISTAR". The caption reads, "Thank you so much. #SISTAR#We'llRememberYouSISTAR".

너무 고마워요^^ #씨스타#기억할게씨스타

LOVE YOU ALWAYS.... Now what am I going to do? First 2NE1, then T-ARA and now SISTAR!!  *sigh*

Winston Jaraiya_Ero Monday, May 29, 2017

i think 2017 is seeing the end of a lot of Pre-2010 era groups, SISTAR is probably the first group of the 2010 year to come to an end.

mxisluv Monday, May 29, 2017

7 years later another group debuts.  MOTHER.

Taeng4ever Monday, May 29, 2017

I am a hardcore sone but I fucking bow down to them when it comes to sexiness. They RULE that area. They did and I will forever remember them as the group that made me feel alot of emotions that I shouldn't be feelin.

SONExSeohyun Monday, May 29, 2017

Thank you to SISTAR for all the enjoyable songs they released over these 7 years and we will miss not seeing more from them as a group, I feel very heartbroken right now ㅠㅠ

Winston Monday, May 29, 2017

its sad that their FINAL comeback will only be ONE week promotion.

Exo_Leia Monday, May 29, 2017

Does anyone know where they're signing? Or did they stay with Starship and just renew as solo acts?

Winston Exo_Leia Monday, May 29, 2017

I have a feeling Dasom will leave to be an actresses in another agency,

makan Winston Monday, May 29, 2017

She is a pretty good actress, hope that she will do a bit of both...

Winston makan Monday, May 29, 2017

I dunno if she will be able to handle being a solo singer though. same for Bora. Frankly Bora gives of a feeling that reminds me of KARA's Nicole.

makan Winston Monday, May 29, 2017

Yeah, I agree with you ... maybe she will end up doing collaborations or OST's... my hope is that each will sign under the Starship umbrella and get together again down the road.

Winston makan Tuesday, May 30, 2017

I dunno if Starship is a good idea for them to sign under if they are pursing acting or something, if they want to get together again, under the same agency or not they can still do so, but the question is they left to do something on their own, their own careers so until they feel that they achieved their goal or target, which may be many years down the road, they may not think of getting back together, in fact, out of all the girl groups who have disbanded over the years, only SES has ever got back together and released an album, so the chance of that happening is so rare, even for boy groups, only Sech Kies, Turbo, god, Shinhwa are still active, so i think while many fans hope for it, i dun think its REALISTIC to assume that a reunion is something that WILL HAPPEN for all the recent disbanded groups, WG, KARA, 2NE1, 4Minute, Rainbow etc, and maybe soon to come SECRET, TARA

B1a4lovelt3 Winston Tuesday, May 30, 2017

From what I've heard, Soyou and Hyolyn will resign as solos under Starship. Dasom and Bora will sign with Kingkong which is cocompany with Starship, but for acting.

Winston B1a4lovelt3 Tuesday, May 30, 2017

Cool than Bora and Dasom will be labelmates with Lee Kwang Soo and Lee Dong Wook etc, i think Bora and Dasom's move to acting is a good pick, since they are not as known for vocals unlike Hyorin, and Soyou (who has many successful duets) also.

UKihyun Monday, May 29, 2017

maybe they just really miss being able to wear pants?

partyfan2013 Monday, May 29, 2017

I know that it sucks to see yet another amazing girl group like SISTAR here break up for good BUT all we really can do is to wish them the best of luck on their next chapters in their lives.  That's pretty much it here.  So therefore, SISTAR's curtain call is about to begin here, folks.

qwerty_Kpop Monday, May 29, 2017

this disbandment sounds unreasonable also because the members get along very well even now.... they can just pursue their solo careers while still being part of the group.. the group can be on hiatus... now that they won't have this brand name SISTAR tagged with them, they won't be as successful in their solo endeavours, I'm guessing....

grumps qwerty_Kpop Monday, May 29, 2017

I think it has more to do with them wanting to grow up. Sistar's concept has always been fleeting and fun, some bold interpretation of a moment and I think they want to to leave it like that, instead of changing what was a perfect group to most of us. They want to seal what was Sistar, instead of changing it, since it was the greatest symbol of their youth.

Winston qwerty_Kpop Monday, May 29, 2017

i think its more of a mutual understanding that they want to move on, and go on their own careers. maybe they are sick of all the things related to being in a girl group, I am talking about the DIETS, the lack of sleep and such, if they do solo careers and maybe sign with another agency, they may be able to be like what IU or Ailee did, and have a better control over the kind of music they want to do, the number of shows they want to be on. and such.

qwerty_Kpop Winston Monday, May 29, 2017

They can never get rid of the idol singer tag, even Taeyeon hasn't gotten rid of it... What I'm suggesting is doing what SNSD is doing... all members are exploring their own path, making their own music, acting while still being tagged as SNSD as a group... that's where their brand value lies... Even a dominant company like SM doesn't interfere in idol's solo promotions and they are free to make their own concepts and all... The point is when a group disbands, its fandom falls apart... atleast 50% of the fandom supports the group as a whole and when they disband they don't support any individual member... the remaining 50% support only their bias, so the chances of being successful decreases exponentially... we've already seen it with Minzy's solo debut...

Winston qwerty_Kpop Monday, May 29, 2017

I dont mean getting rid of the tag as idol singer, i mean getting rid of the "THINGS" assoicated with being a girl group comeback, things like "sleeping only 2-3 hours a day" and doing 4-5 events in a single day, even going on Radio shows from 12am to 2am etc. and such. Taeyeon's comeback, she only went on 2 or 3 radio shows, and only promoted for 1 week, and even that one week she only picked MCountdown, Music Bank, Music Core and Inkigayo, and didnt go on Show CHampion, or The Show. So i think if Hyorin continue as a solo singer, like former's WG Yenny now promoting as HA:TFELT or former KARA's Nicole, former 2NE1's Minzy, they all have lesser events and broadcasts during comebacks, compared to the BUSY idol group time. While they may have far less SALES than their idol group days, I think they are still successful enough to make a living, while not having the kind of 2-3 hrs per day sleep, of a girl group. As for fandom support, i think it varies with group to group and member to member, idol groups like SNSD, or Apink who has a huge fandom when they are a group, may still see a sizeable fandom if lets say Eunji of Apink were to go "perm solo" which is why Eunji probably is another girl group main vocal turned solo singer, that i know is successful.

Winston qwerty_Kpop Monday, May 29, 2017

i think SM only seems to allow an idol group to do solo debut after their first 5 years or so and that the group has re-paid all the dues, and is profitable. thats why the group has more freedom to do what they want, and pick and choose their own concept or write their own songs. Groups that do that like Super Junior, SNSD, Shinee, fx's Luna, Amber and to some extend EXO, while you see groups like Red Velvet, they still dun get to have solo debuts, unless you are refering to SM Station which they release a single track, i think Wendy might have a solo debut in future, but maybe the time is not ready.
